CACC and Lone Tree Council turn 30 this year! Both groups have spent the past 30 years working to protect the health of our communities and watersheds - while seeking joy and satisfaction in the work we do. We invite you to join us as we celebrate these 30 memorable years. Dave Dempsey, Communications Director for Conservation Minnesota, environmental policy consultant, and Great Lakes author will speak on dioxin in the Midland/Saginaw area. Dempsey's most recent books are: Great Lakes for Sale: From Whitecaps to Bottlecaps, (University of Michigan Press, 2008) and The Waters of Michigan, (Michigan State University Press, 2008,) which he co-authored with David Lubbers.
Victor McManemy and Tim Joseph, treasured Great Lakes musicians, will fill our hearts with music! The Great Lakes Health Banner will be on display, depicting the mighty struggle by dozens of Great Lakes groups for health in our communities.
We look forward to your company - your memories and your continued commitment to the health of the Great Lakes!
Tickets are $20.00 each and available from Gretchen Michaels, 2430 Indian Lake Road, Oxford, MI 48370. Please make your check payable to CACC.
